Business Development Manager

Job Purpose

We are an Insurance Marketing Organization with a footprint in 47 states. We offer a broad range of services from consulting, sales and project management in the health care and health insurance industry. Our business is growing rapidly, and we need a skilled Business Developer to acquire and manage new client relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B sales and/or health care provider relations, as well as skills related to strategic analysis and marketing. In this role, you will be responsible for developing relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts and closing deals. You will conduct market research and develop a strategic business development plan to increase revenue. Minimal travel required for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

Identifying new opportunities and leads by researching organizations and new markets

N

Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and clients

N

Preparing PowerPoint presentations, quotes and business proposals

N

Planning, implementing, delegating and overseeing new marketing / project initiatives in collaboration with internal departments

N

Delegate project tasks to individuals based on strengths, skill sets and experience

N

Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills

N

Develop department policy and procedures

N

Perform risk management to minimize project risks

N

Track project performance, specifically to analyze the success completion

N

Meet Budgetary objectives and adjust to project constraints based on financial analysis

N

Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs

N

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

N

Attend conferences and industry trainings as required to maintain proficiency

N

Partner with the sales team to create contract winning proposals for current and prospective clients

N

Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

N

Bachelor’s degree and or equivalent work experience in the related field of Provider Relations

N

Demonstrated achievement in B2B sales

N

Strong client-facing communication skills

N

In-depth knowledge of the industry and its current events

N

Working Conditions

  • Office Environment 9am to 5pm, occasionally putting in overtime hours to meet deadlines or sales quotas.
  • Minimal travel required. Expected to attend conferences, business meetings and industry events.
